Can you explain, just exactly what was in the sky that morning?
About 3 weeks ago I was working outside painting my house.It was about 9:45 in the am on a sunny,clear,cloudless morning.I was standing on a ladder,when I caught a glimpse of something in the sky.I turned around on the ladder so I was facing it.I had a perfect view since I was above everything.At first I thought it was an commercial jet,then looking closer I realized it had absolutely no airfoils of any type! No wings,no tail,no rudder.It was cigar shaped,about the size of a DC9.It must of been made of something metallic because the sun was being reflected off of it.It made no sound whatsoever,neither was there any sign of an engine or jet exhaust.Just then it disappeared behind my neighbor’s tall pine trees and since it was flying so low(I est.1500 to 2000 ft)I fully expected to see it when it cleared those trees.I came down the ladder as fast as I could and ran around to the other side but it had vanished.It could not have been more than 5 seconds.Please tell me what was it?

Is a churchill sized cigar the best value for your money compared to the robusto size?
Don’t know if I spelled those right lol. I started smoking cigars fairly recently, and today I bought a Churchill sized El Camino for 7.20, where the robusto size of the same cigar was 5.00. I noticed it lasted about twice as long as a robusto would, but I did not pay twice as much, so is it generally true that the churchills are the best for your dollar?
No, Churchills are not the best for your dollar.
Cigars have different vitolas for a couple of reasons. Different lengths and ring gauges allow for different blending of the filler – Churchills are the same length as Double Coronas, however they taste different. The same goes for figurados vs. parejo shapes. Figurados are much more difficult to roll and require an expert torcedor.
While each vitola tastes different, robustos and toros smoke differently even thought they have the same ring, just different lengths – the sweet spot comes in differently.
So, while you get the most smoke time wise for a churchill length stick, its not necessarily the best value.

Indeed, in 1973, the year before the federal tax was dropped from 10 percent to two percent, there were 10 sportsbooks in Nevada and the handle was a paltry $2.8 million.
“There was one black-and-white TV set at the old Churchill Downs book, and if the picture fluttered, a guy would whack it with a broom,” remembered oddsmaker Roxy Roxborough, the seminal figure in the rapid growth of the sports betting industry.
Twenty years later, Nevada boasted over 100 sportsbook outlets with a handle of over $2 billion. The numbers in the Silver State have tailed off a bit since the mid-nineties, Nevada’s loss the result of the proliferation of off-shore and Internet wagering outlets. The overall growth of sports betting remains staggering, with ESPN the Magazine estimating in a 2003 article that $63 billion is wagered annually on sports over the Internet. Roxy got his wagering feet wet betting baseball totals. In fact, he may have been the first player to regularly check local weather reports, chronicling the velocity and direction of the wind, a factor which influenced how many balls left the ballpark and, by extension, game totals.
Lured to the other side of the counter by management at the Club Cal-Neva in Reno, it wasn’t long before Roxy, armed with little more than a few hundred dollars and an idea, founded his then fledgling company, Las Vegas Sports Consultants, on his kitchen table. In time, LVSC’s client list grew to include 90 percent of Nevada’s licensed casino sportsbooks.
With a boost from Vic Salerno, the owner of dozens of wagering outlets under the Leroy’s banner and the man who developed the computer system now de rigueur in the industry, LVSC effectively helped transport sportsbooks from the hand-written betting slip Stone Age into the technologically savvy modern sports betting era.
Roxy’s company not only supplied odds, but information on injuries and weather conditions as well. Later, the service added data that tracked line movements, including unusual wagers, alerting sportsbooks to possible betting anomalies that had the potential to devastate their bottom lines.
Well-dressed and well-spoken, Roxy was equally influential in helping to obliterate the pejorative image of the oddsmaker/bookmaker as some sleazy, poorly educated garish figure in a hound’s tooth jacket with a diamond pinky ring and a cigar. Appearing on television shout-fests such as “Crossfire,” Roxy would vanquish the opposition, which included now NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, with a series of well-argued points.
Roxborough has retired from the business of pluses and minuses and no one knows for sure what the coming years will bring, but if the future of sports betting is only half as imaginative and innovative as its glorious past, neither bet makers nor bet takers have reason for concern.
