Would it hurt to elect one of these people to the House of Commons?

OTTAWA – Talk about a party platform.
The Rhinos are back and they’re hoping to lure voters with the tantalizing promise of weekly orgasms – and marijuana in every pot. The Neorhino party promises to declare Spanish as Canada’s official language and pass legislation forcing Prime Minister Stephen Harper to go on a diet.
They’re proud of smoking pot, they draw their political inspiration from cigar-chomping comics and rock legends, and they want to get elected so they can stick it to “The Man.”
The new party – officially called neorhino.ca – is one of at least two groups claiming to be a reincarnation of the defunct Rhinocerous party that specialized in political satire.
Probably fit right in with our current batch of MPs..
Jamaica, located in the Caribbean Sea, not far from Cuba, is an island well known for its historic tradition of cigar manufacturing. The distribution of cigars, throughout the United States and the rest of the world, has been conducted from Jamaica for hundreds of years. The strong tradition and culture of Jamaican cigarsis world renowned. For those of us who enjoy smoking cigars, there is no greater pleasure than a cigar which has been hand-rolled using premium Jamaican tobacco. The climate and soil of Jamaica is very similar to that of Cuba. This led to a strong and thriving tobacco industry. The tobacco leaves grown in Jamaica are used to create fine Jamaican cigars using centuries old methods. In past years, the cigar industry was one of the most successful industries in Jamaica, but economic and weather conditions led to a decline in the Jamaican cigar industry. These conditions included an increase in labor costs as well as a severe hurricane in 1988. If it were not for the efforts of Barrington House Premium Jamaican Cigars, the Jamaican cigar industry might have collapsed entirely and the rich, historic tradition of Jamaica cigars would have been lost.
Barrington Adams, of Barrington House Premium Jamaican Cigars, has been the source of the revival of cigar manufacturing in Jamaica. He took the charge of Barrington House in order to give something back to his native Jamaica. Barrington Adams was a successful businessman in New York City, when he traveled to Jamaica in the 1990s to discover the cigar industry in a state of near collapse. Jimmy Chang, who had risen to near cult-like status as the master blender for the Cuban Montecristo and left Cuba after the revolution to settle in Jamaica to run the heralded Combined Tobacco Company, had suffered a severe stroke and was extremely disabled. Mr. Adams discovered that the employees of Combined Tobacco had not been paid for over six months. Mr. Adams then took over the company, changing the name to Barrington House Premium Jamaican Cigars. Making a determination to lead the Jamaican cigar industry back to its former status as one of the world’s premier sources of fine cigars, Mr. Adams reinvests 100% of the income derived from sales back into the company. For him, it is a labor of love and a chance to give back to the land which always retained a special place in his heart.
Barrington House is the only producer of true Jamaican premium cigars. Other companies may label their cigars “Jamaican” or “Jamaica”, but only Barrington House manufactures premium cigars in Jamaica, hand-rolled, using only the finest prime Jamaican tobacco.
Barrington House has created several lines of premium cigars, ranging from those that use Jamaican leaf as filler to the reintroduction of the famous Santa Cruz Jamaican Puro. The fine art and traditions used by Barrington House employ the finest blends, such as that used in the original Jamaican Macanudo first blended by Jimmy Chang (Barrington House is not presently associated with Macanudo which is now a registered trademark owned by General Cigar Company). Jimmy Chang’s original Jamaican blend is available as the “Guaranteed Jamaican Founders Edition” and as the vintage “Fundadores” available through Barrington House.
Barrington House has brought back the finest traditions of the Jamaican cigar industry, long known for fine and mild tobaccos and the highest quality smoking experience.
So the “rag trade” has been revolutionized without being asked, without knowing. It has come totally by surprise. I can hardly imagine a trade more concerned than ours. The big difference is that before we maybe did not dare even manifest, afraid of judgement even if we had an opinion, any opinion now it’s different, the time is right to become assertive. I mean expression-wise. It’s hardly a topic elsewhere. In fact the gay barometer usually speaks for culture and sophistication and disposable income in any international urban context. So are we heading for that? Arguably yes. It means the times are patting Fashion on the shoulder and not only saying “unite” a week ago (One Fashion Week, finally) but also “express yourself” now that the general refuge of love seems to be accepted, which was what many were hoping for. Of course some fundamentalists did put moral barriers to this, but it already is a general norm in the world, preceded by the anti baby pill in the early sixties, the hippies and the sexual revolution of free love a bit later and AIDS much later that much for the fundamentalists who may consider the legalisation of homosexuality as a moral catastrophe. I can not remember more hurdles crossed in such a short time in a long time, bringing in a new outlook to all in Fashion and Beauty, Decoration and Interiors, Expression of the Times the list is long and the freedom of choice, not only for the designers but also for the consumers it brings with it is going to change the country and its cultural expression. I think the ‘Indian Wave’ is just about starting now. So maybe we will finally understand that the race is about creativity leading to business, a race in which each and everyone is competing with themselves and what they thought was the norm. we shall see what happens with a changed norm.

The number of cigar aficionados has been steadily increasing with cigar becoming chic once again. Many celebrities and social icons can be seen enjoying a stick of their favorite cigar in public gatherings adding to its ever growing popularity. Cigars are made in many parts of the world but the most sought after types of cigars are Cuban cigars or Havana cigars as they are widely called. Authentic Cuban cigars undergo multiple sets of intricate processes during production, giving them a unique taste and aroma that won a large number of enthusiasts.
After production, Havana cigars are distributed to selected authorized dealers around the world. The remaining portion will be divided among local cigar shops which are mostly located in Havana. Though there is a large demand for Cuban cigar around the world, its availability is very limited especially in western countries where a significant percent of cigar aficionados belong. The inability of producers to meet the demands for Cuban cigars has urged opportunists to produce counterfeits which of course taste poorly compared to its authentic counterpart and are made of low quality materials, degrading the name of genuine Cuban cigars. With the large number of fake Cuban cigars running around the market, here are certain things to take note of when looking for genuine Cuban cigars.
* Probably the safest way to buy genuine Cuban cigars is to travel to Havana where Cuba distributes most of its Habanos for local sale. Be wary however of locals that would approach and try to sell Havana cigars. Seeing how profitable the cigar business is, there are a number of locals that would sell fakes to foreigners at a cheaper price claiming that what they sell were stolen from cigar factories or other stories proving how genuine their goods are.
* Only buy cigars from well established cigar store, a number of cigar shops in Spain, Canada, United Kingdom, and other countries are famous for selling genuine Cuban cigar and have good reputation.
* If the price is too good to be true, then it probably is. If you’re new to cigars, find out the market price for different classes of Cuban cigars, anything sold with a big reduction in price is most probably counterfeit.
* Examine the box, make sure it is tightly sealed and has a warranty seal marked on it. Avoid buying Havana cigars that come in boxes that appear to be damaged or tampered.
* If you’re allowed to open the box, examine the cigar by smelling it, genuine Cuban cigars have very rich and strong aroma, and if you have a bit of experience with cigars you would easily identify which is genuine and which is counterfeit.
* If you’re planning to buy cigars online, examine the website first. Most well established businesses would make sure that they have a formidable website set up for online customers. You may search for customer reviews about them as well.
Remember however, displayed above are only general tips on how to avoid counterfeit Cuban cigars. Experience is the best teacher, once you get a hand of how cigar enthusiasts do their business, finding and buying genuine Cuban cigar will become easier.

To add to your lively selection of Acids, I would also recommend the Java by Drew Estate (RP). I would actually say that is probably my favorite, cause that spot in my humidor always seems to be empty.
Smoking can ease pressure from life although it will affect our health.
smokers should enjoy all of the cigars on this latest and greatest list of top cigars for beginners.
CAO Criollo
CAO Criollo cigars are made entirely with tobaccos from Nicaragua. These are mild-to-medium cigars and an excellent choice for the beginner. The flavor is great right from the start. Initially there are floral hints, the taste of chestnuts, coffee, and a subtle sweetness. Halfway through a slight peppery flavor creeps in and builds slowly to a nice finish. The Criollo’s are also full of great aromas like mushrooms and cedar.
Casa Torano
Casa Torano cigars are made by the Torano family in Honduras. The Casa Torano is a mild-to-medium cigar that is packed with flavor. This cigar is mild enough for a beginner, but has a complex flavor that will satisfy most seasoned smokers, also. The taste is rich and smooth, and very enjoyable all the way down to the last two inches of the cigar.
Macanudo Hyde Park
Macanudo is the top selling premium cigar brand in the United States. These cigars are made by the General Cigar Company in the Dominican Republic. The Macanudo Hyde Park Café is a real pleasure to smoke, as it produces lighter tastes of almonds, cashews and fresh herbs. A great choice for beginners, and can be used as a benchmark to evaluate other cigars. Also, see our review of the Macanudo Hampton Court.
Gispert
Gispert is a mild-to-medium bodied cigar made in Honduras. This is a very easy smoking cigar. It has an earthy and woodsy flavor with hints of leather. The aroma is quite pleasing also, with wood and leather undertones. And for only about $2 per stick, the price is very reasonable.
Helix Blue Tubular
The Helix Blue Tubular cigar has a very enjoyable mild flavor, and is also mild in strength. This cigar would be a great choice for a beginner cigar smoker, or for an experienced smoker who enjoys an occasional mild cigar. The cigar is made by the General Cigar Company in Honduras, and has some similarities to their more expensive and popular line of Macanudo cigars. Helix cigars are also available as artificially flavored cigars called Helix Remix, which are also prescribed for new cigar smokers.
Cuban cigars originate from the Caribbean, which has a tropical climate very different to Europe. As a natural product, your Havana cigars need to be kept carefully. They are used to being in a warm climate with a relatively high humidity.
Therefore they will need to be protected from extremes of temperature and humidity (particularly low humidity). This is particularly difficult to achieve in air conditioned and centrally heated buildings, where the air tends to get de-humidified and cigars can dry out very quickly. Some cigars come in aluminum tubes which can help preserve them in dry climates, however they tend to mature at a much slower rate than ‘naked’ boxed cigars.
Maintain a temperature of 16 C to 20 C and a relative humidity of 65% – 70%.
In the UK you will need a humidor to maintain the humidity of your cigars at various times of the year:
Humidity
At the least, keep your cigars in a tight fitting cupboard, drawer or box, away from radiators and other sources of heat. Pick the coolest indoor spot in your house. Leave the cigars in their original boxes as this will help preserve them, stop them from being damaged, and prevent any cross-tainting of flavours between different varieties of cigars stored in the same area. If the humidity in your make-shift humidor is low, a damp sponge in a cup will serve as a basic provider of humidity.
When you purchase your cigars from Tomtom, they will be packed in an airtight zip-loc bag, which will maintain the humidity of your cigars while you transport them from the shop to your humidor. These bags are a very efficient short term humidor, however we would not recommend that you leave your cigars sealed in these bags for more than one month. Although humidity will be maintained, cigars also need to be exposed to some fresh air to allow them to ‘breathe’ and age correctly.
A variety of desk-top and travel humidors can be purchased (see ‘Accessories’) and are an essential item for the dedicated cigar smoker (more information below).
Temperature
The danger of excessive temperature (combined with too much humidity) is that the cigars can either go moldy or be damaged by weavil attack. If cigars go moldy, this is generally not a problem, as long as it is spotted reasonably soon and the mould (or bloom) only appears on the wrapper leaf. The mould can be removed with a soft brush (e.g. a badger shaving brush) and then the cigar can be returned to store in the correct conditions. If mould gets into the end of the cigar, we recommend that you do not smoke it. Weavil, or tobacco beetle, is a more serious problem. If you see any small holes in your cigar, you should take immediate action. Please call Tomtom for further advice. Never store cigars near direct sunlight or for long periods exposed to sea breezes (salt will not enhance your smoke). The lower the temperature, the higher the humidity required to compensate.
Desk-Top Humidors
There is a very wide selection of these humidors on the market. The basic design requirements are that they are sealable (and generally lockable!), but allow the cigars to breathe. This is normally achieved by leaving the base of the box unvarnished: and no portion of the inner cedar box should be laminated. The box contains a fitting, which provides the humidity: this is normally a pad containing a sponge or chalk, which can be dampened. The box may also contain a dial showing humidity and temperature.
As a rule of thumb, the smaller the box, the harder it is to maintain a steady level of humidity within its confines. These humidors do not regulate temperature. The price range starts from about 125 for a plexi glass humidor, which will hold approximately 50 cigars to 2000 and above. A comprehensive selection is shown on our accessory page. Fabulous humidors can also be created out of antique boxes which many families have inherited as writing slopes or medal cases and which have since become redundant. This is a very cost-effective way of storing your cigars in a unique and personal humidor.
Travel Humidors
Ranging in price from 100 upwards. These are not suitable for long-term storage of cigars, however they are essential if you are moving about: the wrapper leaf on a handmade cigar is very thin and delicate and will easily damage. The safest way to prevent this is to keep the cigars in their original box, in tubes or in a purpose-built travel humidor.
Cigar Cases
Generally these do not offer humidification systems built in, but will protect your cigars if you take them in your pocket for the day. There are some metal tubes with hermetically sealed screw tops that will act in the same way as a cigar tube and seal in moisture. The majority are made from leather and offer protection from damage as well as limited protection from fluctuations in humidity and temperature.
Reviving Dried-Out Cigars
This is not an exact science and not always successful. Dry cigars need to be rehumidified very slowly and with care. We suggest you speak to us
Footnote
We do NOT recommend that cigars are kept in a refrigerator for storage. It is likely that the cigars will be dried out by this process and irretrievably damaged.
