cigar and pipe
Which should I smoke this fall while raking leaves? A pipe or a cigar?

And what type of tabacco if you say “pipe?”

I’d go with a cigar. If you knock a pipe out of your mouth it might hit the ground and break. If your cigar hits the ground you just light another one.
If you are going to burn the leaves in your yard you could smoke a pipeful of captain black. Burning leaves are the only thing that smell worse than that stuff. My favorite pipeweed is something very aromatic, heavy on the latakia. Captain Black smells like a barrel of molasses on fire.

zippo lighter history
45-50 YEAR OLD ZIPPO LIGHTER”BABE RUTH”?

I have found this cig lighter when i was 15 in upstate NY, inscribed on the front of it is “BABE RUTH – MANAGER MILLS” any help on history / value etc of this lighter, Have contacted ZIPPO four and again three years ago, never got a reply from them, any HELP.

I did a Google search and nothing really came up except newspaper articles from 1932 and 1956, both containing “Manager Mills” and “Babe Ruth”, baseball related. So if the lighter was Babe Ruth’s or something, there’s a chance that it has a lot of value to it. I’d read the articles on the site but you have to be a paying member to do that.

is it weird for a woman to smoke a pipe?

hey people
im an 18yr old woman and i live in the south countryside of england. i smoke cigarettes but i often like to smoke a pipe or cigar. my family do not smoke and my friends only smoke cigarettes. we were sitting in the garden one sunny day and i started to smoke my pipe with a delectable vanilla tobacco, when they all fell off their chairs in shock. they think i should not smoke pipes or cigars because its a mans thing and i looked odd.
do you think this is true our society?
pearl X

It should be compulsory.

As a tool for rumination,it is second to none …

There has never been a better time to get term life insurance Ontario. In recent years, the Canadian government made notable effort to make insurance a viable option for all citizens. Plus, rates have never been more affordable.

When you start looking for term life insurance in Ontario, you don’t need to look past a local search on the Internet. When you go online to purchase term life insurance, you get the following benefits:

· An online quote that provides an insurance calculator.
· You can try a variety of terms at the click of your mouse.
· The ability to choose between as many as 50 different companies at the same time.

Term life insurance comes in 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, 65, 70, 75, and 100-year terms. It’s up to you to decide for how long you want your policy. Even though the rates are cheaper for a shorter policy, it will not save you money in the long run. Most policies will renew at a higher rate.

If your term life insurance policy is up for renewal, it’s wise to shop around. Different insurance companies offer different rates depending on the circumstances. To get the best quote possible, keep the following hints in mind:

· Look for an insurance company that is known for excellent renewal rates.
· Try a variety of options varying in length and amount of coverage to find the plan that is best for you.
· Some insurance companies cover mortgage policies, your children’s college and educational expenses, and don’t consider cigar smokers “smokers.”

These are just some factors that contribute to your decision in a term life insurance policy. When you decided to go online, you made the first step in the right direction to find the best quote in Ontario.

what are worse: cigars, cigarettes, dip, or weed?

Put these in order form safest to most harmful, thank you

In order of carcinogens lowest to highest:

Weed, Cigarettes, Cigars, Dip of course depending on how you use each, but this would describe one joint, one cigarette, one cigar, and one dip/pouch/chew.

Is there a name for the opposite of “the Midas Touch?” I’m not talking about brakes and mufflers, here. I’m talking about the king who had the disturbing experience of having everything he touched turn to gold.

In the end, it wasn’t all that great-

I’ve just gone through a week-long period where everything I touched, metaphorically speaking, turned into poop. I had the “poop” touch. This is a family ‘zine. If you’re over 30 and can handle it, substitute the proper word for “poop.”

I first noticed it when I reached for the bag of garlic powder I bought at Whole Foods, and it came out of the cabinet upside down and unlatched… making my kitchen floor look like the evidence room of the Hollywood Police Department. White powder everywhere.

The final straw was Wednesday night, when I reached for my laptop to respond to a posting on a forum, and knocked a full glass of Shiraz-Cabernet into my Fujitsu Lifebook.

I immediately turned it off and upside down- hoping for the best. The next morning, it was a rock. No light. Pushing buttons didn’t generate any sparks at all. Dead.

I run all of my businesses from this laptop- I back up most of the important data, but this is the only one that has all the software I use. I made a conscious decision to create a “business in a backpack,” and that’s just hunky-dory as long as the laptop works. It’s a recording studio, a graphics studio, a video editor, a web-page creator, and handles my finances… when it works.

Bottom line, I was out of business. How to turn THIS into something good?

I took the laptop to my computer guru and just took myself off the hook for a couple of days. Checked out.

There is a very comfortable coffee shop here in town, which has a computer and internet access. After taking care of the absolutely critical stuff, I found a spot in the sun on the front porch, with cigar, coffee and water at hand, and read a good book.

A non-internet marketing book.

I recommend it. The “poop touch” just went away.

I’ve been exhausted since the seminar… it was a hell of a way to spend my fiftieth birthday.

So, two days on a sunny front porch smoking cigars and drinking coffee… excellent therapy. I’m recharged and rested and ready to go.

Today my computer guru brought back the laptop- it’s going to need a new keyboard, but other than that it’s fine. I definitely dodged a bullet.

Tomorrow, I’ll go back to my death defying schedule. There ain’t no such thing as passive income. If there is, I haven’t seen it. I work seven days a week on e-books, audios, web sites, coaching, and networking.

Except… I think… about once a month I’m going to pretend that my laptop got drunk again. Just turn it off, put it in the backpack, and put the backpack in the bedroom… and go to the coffee shop.

Here’s the surprising thing: the world kept spinning. My coaching program filled up. People kept buying my products. Nobody really noticed that I was out of touch for two days… I took two days off and got away with it!

I may actually introduce the idea… slowly, so I don’t startle myself… of taking a day off every week. I’ll have to work up to that, though.

austin tx cigars

Clarksville neighborhood just North of West Sixth Street and East of MoPac has managed to maintain its intimacy. Thanks to its historic roots, Clarksville has been protected from growth, but the adjacent West End area with its anchor in the so-called Central Design District at Lamar and Sixth means local Austin residents get the best of both worlds — a taste of urban living in a quiet, old neighborhood.

In the 1860s Texas Gov. Elisha Pease sold some of his plantation in the area to slaves who built homes there. A decade later Charles Clark, a freed slave, started the community named in his honor. Eventually, as Austin grew at the turn of the century, the area was developed and the old plantation became part of the city. One of the last Clarksville residents descended from the freed slaves died just a few years ago. Now, the area is favored by young families, professionals looking for a quiet place to live and some of Austin’s creative residents who enjoy the lower rents some small apartments in the area offer.

In keeping with Clarksville’s quiet atmosphere, the small commercial center on West Lynn Street has a village-like feel. At Nau’s Drugstore, the soda fountain looks much as it has for decades and the milkshakes are still made the same way. One of the premier places to eat in Austin, Jeffrey’s, is in the heart of Clarksville and its understated design and eclectic menu is quintessential Austin. While Jeffrey’s does wonderful things with Texas game and seafood, neighboring Cosmic Cafe, formerly West Lynn Cafe, caters to Austin’s vegetarian taste buds.

Many residents choose to shop at the neighborhood Fresh Plus store, although Whole Foods’ landmark store is just a few blocks East at Lamar and Sixth. There are nearby dry cleaners and a garden center in the neighborhood, also.

Other foodie favorites include legendary Sweetish Hill Bakery, just a couple of blocks West of Lamar, favored for breakfast coffee and pastry, wonderful lunchtime sandwiches and special holiday pastries. Portabla on Sixth and Cipollina on West Lynn offer take-out food for dinner and picnics, and Wiggy’s Liquors on Sixth is the Austin neighborhood favorite for wine and cigars. Longtime Austin favorites, Z-Tejas, Cafe Josie and Castle Hill Cafe are popular cafes in the neighborhood.

The daily witticism posted on the big sidewalk message board at the funky El Arroyo restaurant on Fifth Street is a neighborhood fixture, but new shops and cafes along Fifth and Sixth are bringing a new sophistication to the area. A growing number of galleries are choosing to locate in the Clarksville neighborhood, also, and one of Austin’s best Latin-American import stores, El Interior, is on West Lynn Street.

The hilly neighborhood makes for great evening walks and there are two small neighborhood parks — Clarksville Park and West Austin Park — and both have summer wading pools. For runners and cyclists, Shoal Creek hike and bike trail is a few blocks to the Northeast and, of course, Zilker Park is just a few blocks South.
