Can I clean the city myself?
Hello. I am an international student from South America living in Montreal, Canada. As you might now, after all the snow is gone in spring, a lot of garbage will mysteriously appear on the streets, and a lot of it will remain there even after spring cleaning. Is it legal if I contribute myself to picking up garbage from some public spaces? Why doesn’t anybody do that in Montreal?
I would like to meet people who want to do the same and join them to help clean the city. At least one street to start, or at least those ugly cigarette butts from a small area. Maybe we give a good example.
Anyone would join me?
Please don’t talk about taxes. I know everything I need to know and I don’t want to talk about money, this is a personal concern.
Even if you can’t find anyone to join you, do your part and pick up the garbage. Others will see you and follow your example. I like the idea.
