How does the taxing on alcohol, cigarettes and petrol work? I.e. how do excise duties work?
In the UK the government will screw consumers for the maximum they think they can get out of them without serious damage to their electoral chances. They are simply a bunch of cynical bastards and the UK as far as these items are concerned is the biggest rip off country in Europe.
