A box or room with constant temperature and humidity, a humidor is used to store cigars and/or pipe tobacco. For individual use, a small humidor box is ideal. Cigar and tobacco shops, on the other hand, require larger spaces that are often designed as walk-in areas that cover an entire floor. All humidors feature a way to keep track of the humidity levels to ensure a constant and perfect housing area.

In order to work effectively, small humidors must be able to maintain their humidity. The best way to test this is to use a moist cloth to wipe the interior clean of any dust or debris. A small glass or container of distilled water should be placed inside the humidor, which should then be closed, and left overnight. He says that he does not have enough room to store them. Says that he does not want his new daughter to see him as less of a provider than Grandma and Grandpa. My wife loves to listen to people for clues as to what they would need or like and then tries to full fill those wishes. My take on it is the giver can give anything and everything they choose as long as it it not illegal or inappropriate like pornography, or a box of chocolates to a diabetic, or a box of cigars to someone trying to quit smoking. I beleive the receiver should graciously accept the gift with expressed appreciation. At that time the receiver can do anything with the gift they choose. They can return it to the merchant for a refund or exchange, can throw it away, can regift it, can hide it or store it, can use it, or what every they choose with no ramifications. Am I off base here.

I do not think you are off base at all. He is being insecure. If the only reason is he doesn’t the gifts is fear of being shown up then he is being petty.
