Usually there are laws in your state that says how many people can start a petition and override the government’s ruling. Talk to your state history teacher. Most state history books gives an idea of the procedures. That should get you started.
Then you would have a long fight in trying to get everyone to sign it.

I live alone in a small rocky mountain town. As of recent their have been sightings of cave trolls. I thought they were all off this planet. Yesterday I walk out to the kitchen and there are two drinking my german beers and eating my sub sandwich. Should I say anything to them? They are also smoking my fine import cigars, which I don’t smoke inside the house. I cannot believe they were partying it up right there inside my very home. To say the least I was mad, but couldn’t really do anything cause they would probably beat be bloody. Is this a problem with modern times? are the schoold systems that bad for cave trolls that they ahev to resort to crime?
You’re lucky to live as a hermit in a deserted town. I’d give alot to live that way. As for the cave trolls and their bad behavior, the old cliche says that you get more flies with honey than with vinegar. You should probably talk to them about it, but try to do it in a nice way. You may need their help sometime if it’s as remote a place as you say it is. It’s best to be on good terms with the neighbors even if they are rude ones.
